Chevy introduced the IROC-Z version that was named after the International Race of Champions. Offered as an option package on the Z28, the Camaro IROC-Z featured an upgraded suspension, lowered ride height, specially valved Delco-Bilstein shocks, larger diameter sway bars, a steering/frame brace known as the “wonder bar,” a special decal package, and an optional Tuned Port Injection system taken from the Chevy Corvette. These third generation Camaros are especially desirable for what's under the hood. After all, we all love a classic that also includes a Tune Port Fuel Injected V-8. Dressed in Dark Red Metallic paint appears to be original (code 74), the car’s paint and trim are in overall great condition for the year, as are the glass panels, the lights, including the fog lights. Inside, the gun metal gray (code 84). Original 5.0L V-8 with Tuned Port Injection (code LB9) 700R4 four speed automatic transmission with overdrive (code MX0). The factory three spoke steering wheel is in fine order, while the inner door panels and instrument panel with full array of gauges echo the rest of the interior’s theme. The center console and shift lever look great, too. The front buckets and rear demi buckets look great, as is the matching carpet and headliner. Tilt steering, air conditioning, power steering, driver power seat, the factory Delco seek-scan AM/FM/EQ stereo with cassette complete the interior. Power brakes, rear defogger. Factory Aluminum five-spoke 16 by 8-inch wheels.
